St Dominic's Hall

We are very lucky at St Dominic's to have a hall large enough to hold up to 200 people.

Facilities include:-

  • A large stage with curtains.
  • A well equipped kitchen with a large serving hatch. Note there is no oven but there is a microwave.
  • Recently modernised toilets including a separate disabled toilet and baby change facilities.
  • An even and smooth wood strip floor.
  • Gas central heating.
  • Tables and chairs.

Hiring cost is currently £12.00 per hour for regular users, £15.00 per hour for one-off bookings.

Hall Project
The hall is well used by organisations in the local community however its construction dates back to the 1950's and some major improvements are needed in line with environmental issues.  These include replacing the asbestos roof, adding solar panels, double glazing and improving the insulation.  Plans drawn up in 2022 showed the cost is likely to be in the region of £100,000.  Obviously we will have to appeal for grants and donations to be able to proceed.
